Richard Hartman

Richard Hartman has been a volunteer at the Orange Family History Library for a number of years. He is graduate History student at California State University Fullerton with a special interest in Public History. Richard is a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant serving both active duty and in the California Air National Guard. He has a BS in Computer Engineering from Cal State Long Beach.

Richard has been indexing records for about 7 years for the World Archives Project (ancestry.com) and for the Posen Project. He has indexed/arbitrated about 350,000 for WAP and over 30,000 marriages for the Posen Project. He has two great grandfathers that were born in Posen, creating his interest in that Prussian state.

Richard is an active researcher having visited the National Archives in Riverside and Washington, D. C. He has served an internship at the National Archives at the Nixon Library. Additional research has been done at the Library of Congress and the Orange County Archives.
